Job Description:
The warehouse associate supports the day to day operations of the branch by providing general stock and organization services. Responsible for all aspects of the warehouse functions including shipping, receiving, storing, cleaning, and preparing products while maintaining a safe or orderly environment.
This is a safety-sensitive position, the ability to work in a constant state of awareness and in a safe manner is imperative. Candidates offered employment must undergo a pre-employment drug test. The test screens for drugs including amphetamines, cocaine, marijuana, methamphetamines, opiates, oxycodone, and phencyclidines, following the cutoff levels set by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Warehouse or distributions experience preferred but not required. Must be able to identify product by type, size, and product code. Must be able to read orders/match orders on shipping tickets for items to be picked. Employee has to be willing to obtain certifications for fork lift/power-truck equipment if needed. General knowledge of operating inventory control equipment such as tablets, wands, and other handheld devices.
Physical Requirements: Able to move/lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted. Able to withstand extreme temperatures in a typical warehouse environment Position spends a large amount of time standing, walking, lifting, pulling and pushing. Position may require climbing of ladders for top-level selection Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Occasional lifting of up to 75 pounds.
