Job Description:
1st shift 8am- 5 pm.
Supports the day to day operations of the Branch. Responsible for ensuring that all orders that require shipment of spools and/or any wire are fulfilled within a timely manner. Also responsible for ensuring that shipments of wire being sent are cut to order and adhere to safety standards. Responsible for any assigned housekeeping tasks and for carrying out any other duties assigned to them by management.
This is a safety-sensitive position, the ability to work in a constant state of awareness and in a safe manner is imperative. Candidates offered employment must undergo a pre-employment drug test. This test screens for drugs including amphetamines, cocaine, marijuana, methamphetamines, opiates, oxycodone, and phencyclidines, following the cutoff levels set by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent and one year of related experience in shipping and receiving preferred. Organized thought process with ability to produce accurate results, effective prioritization to meet scheduled deadlines, and strong analytical and problem solving skills. Required to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math. Must be able to pass the forklift certification test and drive a forklift or machinery on a daily basis.
Physical Requirements: Able to move/lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted. Able to withstand extreme temperatures in a typical warehouse environment. Position spends a large amount of time standing, walking, lifting, pulling and pushing. Position may require climbing of ladders for top-level selection Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
